Despite the ongoing troubles in the country arising from the global economic crisis, Greece’s solar industry is still active as evidenced by the addition of a new 1MW solar power plant in the north-eastern city of Volos. Conergy Greece has continued its drive in the country, having been a major project developer in the country since 2004.

The new solar park, located in the city’s industrial area, is equipped with 4,347 of Conergy’s PowerPlus 230P modules and two central inverter stations. The park itself covers in the region of 20,000m2 of land and will produce more than 1,400MWh of solar energy per annum.

    Photovoltaics International 16th Edition

This sixteenth edition of Photovoltaics International marks four years of production of the quarterly journal. As always, our focus is on efficiency and quality improvement and cost reduction in manufacturing. As 2012 rolls along, companies are falling by the wayside due to supply and demand issues, ASP declines and drastic governmental subsidy cuts. A clear picture of 2012 is offered through papers from the likes of TÜV Rheinland, Fraunhofer ISE, SEMI PV Group and EPIA, amongst others.
