Conergy installs 500kW in Canary Islands rooftop project

German PV manufacturer Conergy is building three rooftop PV plants on the Canary island of Fuerteventura, totalling 500kW.

When complete, the installations will take Conergy’s total installed capacity on the Canaries to 14MW.

The three installations are being constructed for a fruit and vegetable wholesaler, with Conergy acting as the general contractor for the plants as well supplying the components.

The project is eventually expected to generate around 900,000kWh of electricity a year.
