David Gudmundson named president and CEO of GreenVolts

GreenVolts has named David Gudmundson their new president and CEO. His position will start immediately at the company’s newly relocated headquarters in Fremont, California. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in senior management positions with technology companies and a track record of improving the growth of both domestic and international market share and revenue, GreenVolts looks forward to Gudmundson applying his skills to his new position.

Gudmundson has a senior executive work history, which saw him build teams, expand market-share and revenue and work for companies such as JDSU and Cisco Systems. As president of JSDU’s communications product group and a corporate executive VP, Gudmundson led a 3,000 person team while increasing profitability, revenue growth and market share.

As group vice president and general manager for Cisco Systems, Gudmundson helped the company enter the access router, broadband and security server markets respectively. His past career endeavors saw him hold engineering positions at ArgoSystems and ESL Inc.

“I look forward to partnering with Bob, and the Board, and the entire team at GreenVolts to continue unlocking the enormous potential of CPV,” said Gudmundson. “I am passionate about this industry and extremely bullish on this technology. I am thrilled to leverage my experience and skills to help make solar power a primary energy source for our planet.”
 
Gudmundson received his BS in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and his MBA from San Jose State University.
