Bringing two decades of extensive experience in renewable energy, software and semiconductors to the company, solar industry veteran Cary Vandenberg has joined eIQ Energy’s executive team. As vice president of sales he will be responsible for strengthening its sales management, business development and international business in order to expand its product offerings and customer installations.
Before joining eIQ Energy, Vandenberg was CEO of Agilewaves, a smart grid company whose energy monitoring and management software reduces building energy costs. His solar industry experience includes service as CEO of US Solar Energy and director of business development at SolFocus. Previously, he was CEO of HPL Technologies, a publicly held semiconductor yield-management software and services company, which he sold to Synopsys in 2006.
“Cary joins with a wealth of management and sales experience, as well as a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the solar energy industry,” eIQ Energy CEO Jerry Cutini commented. “We are pleased to add such a seasoned professional to our management team, and expect him to both expand our customer activities as well as develop the internal organizations required to support those customers.”
