Eneco Solar, Bio & Hydro BV, a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based renewable energy firm Eneco, and Switzerland-based investment company Susi Partners, have inked a deal whereby the two companies will collaborate to acquire PV power plants in France and Belgium over the next 18 months.

The agreement is in line with Eneco’s long-term growth plans which seek to increase its share of PV capacity in both the French and Belgian markets. Currently, Eneco owns and operates 20MWp of solar power in the Benelux region.

Commenting on the partnership, Frans van de Noort, the managing director of Eneco Solar, said, “ … Given the favorable market conditions, we seek to boldly increase our PV operations. Susi’s access to reputable PV players and knowledge in investment structuring makes them an excellent partner to facilitate our growth.”
