New Jersey’s Wildwood Convention Centre is now sporting a 474kW rooftop PV system, which was developed by Tioga Energy. Eoplly New Energy Technology noted that a significant portion of the 1,700 panels used in the project are its EP-156P/72-285W modules.
EFC will sell the electricity from the solar system to the convention centre at a reduced rate under a 20-year lease agreement. Tom Byrne, the chairman of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority, noted that the project was a success for numerous reasons, including environmental awareness. "By taking on this project, and reducing our carbon footprint, getting in with the go-green movement, we are going to be viewed as leaders in this area," Byrne said.
