China’s ET Solar has doubled the length of its module warranty. Under the terms of the new product commitment, which came into force at the start of May, ET Solar has extended its coverage for defects relating to workmanship and material quality from five to 10 years.

Under the power output commitment, ET Solar has undertaken a positive power output range of up to 5W on top of the nameplate power output for its core module products.

The warranty extension brings to a close a busy first half of the year for ET Solar, in which it has already connected the 2.9MW Frankenberg plant in Germany to the grid and signed 52MW worth of module supply contracts with Umwelt Sonne Energie and ZEN Technologies.
