Construction has been completed on a 4.2MW solar power plant in Odessa, Ukraine, by ET Solutions, a subsidiary of the multi-national ET Solar.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) made a long-term loan of €3.9 million to the project, along with €1.5 million from the Clean Technology Fund, which is one of two Climate Investment Funds endowed by the World Bank.

Over 17,000 ET Solar modules were used on the project, which spans seven hectares. ET Solutions performed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services and worked with Sunelectra Global, a company which is active in the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States, the region of former Soviet states of which Ukraine is part.
ET Solutions will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of the plant. Sunelectra started developing the plant in 2011 before turning it over to local commercial and technical support.
The plant is the latest of several large ground-mounted PV installations to be announced or constructed in the Ukraine. Austrian company Activ Solar has installed 296.95MWp of PV generation capacity in the Crimean peninsula to date.
