As part of a current technology partnership, InnoLas Systems and Meyer Burger subsidiary, Roth & Rau have collaborated to improve the efficiency of standard mono-crystalline cells by up to 1%. The combination of optimized laser processing and coating technology is claimed to provide a throughput of 3,400 wafers per hour.
According to Richard Grundmüller, CEO of InnoLas Systems, the teaming of Roth & Rau’s MAiA PECVD system with its ILS TT laser system, provides a plug-in performance upgrade for existing solar cell production lines.
