First Solar to present at upcoming industry event

The solar manufacturing industry all agrees that thin-film technologies will continue to erode the market share of standard crystalline silicon processing. First Solar uses proprietary methods to create Cadmium Telluride based panels that have recently achieved 10.8% manufactured efficiencies.

Stephan Hansen, Managing Director, First Solar GmbH will be discussing how flexibility of manufacturing methods will put CdTe at the top of the thin-film value chain. Other speakers at the Thin Film Solar Summit Europe, from May 19-20 include Oerlikon Solar’s, Jim Thompson, who will address scale and integration as methods to overcome issues of supply and demand.

Thin Film Solar Summit Europe will take place in Berlin, Germany, from May 19-20, 2009. The conference will bring together over 25 expert speakers. More information is available http://www.thinfilmtoday.com/eu/
