Fluor to provide EPC and O&M services to AVSE II 125MW solar facility, Arizona

Fluor Corporation announced it had been selected last year for its EPC services to contribute towards Arlington Valley Solar Energy II’s (AVSE II) 125MW solar facility in Maricopa County, Arizona. Fluor has also acquired a contract for ongoing operations and maintenance services. In 2002, Fluor designed and constructed the Arlington Valley Combined Cycle Facility nearby.

The AVSE II project is located on approximately 1,160 acres and has closed financing for the project and has executed the power purchase agreement for the entire power output from the facility.

Engineering and procurement is under way from Fluor’s Southern California operations centre. The facility is expected to achieve full commercial operation by the end of 2013.
