The Spanish government has finished the fourth round of bidding for PV projects scheduled for 2009, resulting in the award of subsidies going to power plants with a generating capacity of approximately 500MW.
The eligible projects will be entitled to receive a feed-in tariff of up to €340/MWh ($505.9) for 25 years.
The Industry Ministry estimates that Spain now has 3,900MW of PV plants either working or under construction.
