Gehrlicher Solar America has successfully expanded its reach into Massachusetts with the completion of two commercial solar installations, one of which is a 151kW ground-mounted system in North Dartmouth. The company has also suggested that it has plans to construct over 5MW of projects in the state over the course of 2012.

The Dartmouth, Massachusetts projects covers an area of approximately seven acres in a semi-rural residential area and is fitted with the company’s Gehrtec Base racking systems.

The second project in Swedesboro, New Jersey is a 322kW rooftop system that has been acquired by a group of private investors.

“Both projects have a strategic relevance to us”, said Dr. Stefan Parhofer, CEO of Gehrlicher Solar America Corp. “We perceive great potential in Massachusetts and are currently receiving many inquiries from there. It has a very interesting Solar Renewable Energy Certificates market, and while that of New Jersey still remains challenging, although New Jersey also remains an attractive market for Solar”.
