Hans-Juergen Cramer chosen as new Circadian Solar chairman

The former CEO of Vattenfall Europe, Hans-Juergen Cramer, has been selected as Circadian Solar’s Chairman of the Board. The company is looking to Cramer and his 30-year background in the energy, utility and renewable markets, to help lead the board for Circadian. Before becoming CEO of Vattenfall, Cramer was part of the Bewag Group of utility companies where he had been involved in various management and board positions since 1981.

Cramer has served on various energy industry committees and panels since the 1990s and has worked on German government working groups. Upon his departure from Vattenfall in 2008, Cramer was chosen as Director of the German Climate Innovation center of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and continues to be actively involved with renewable energy companies.

Cramer commented on his new position stating, "Circadian Solar is genuinely leading the way in terms of its CPV technology - its approach to developing its technology has resulted in the highest performance solution in the industry. I feel strongly that the technology can truly enhance the lives of people living in sunbelt regions by supplying low cost, reliable energy."
