HelioSphera receives order for at least 9MW of modules from Tecno Spot

HelioSphera has signed a long-term supply agreement for at least 9MW of micromorph thin-film modules between 2009-2010 with the Italian photovoltaic module and component distributor, Tecno Spot. The two parties also agreed to consider the framework for additional quantities in 2010.

Production at the 60MW HelioSphera facility in Tripolis, Greece could begin as early as 3Q09, marking a key step in the company’s south European region route-to-marker strategy. CEO of HelioSphera, Thierry Bodiot feels the contract is a “positive sign [for HelioSphera] that the marker is willing to move to the newest production technologies, which also have proven a higher energy performance and the highest guarantee standards.”
