IBC SOLAR and Enercoop complete construction of 13.2MW Spanish power plant

PV integrator IBC SOLAR has announced that it has completed construction of a new PV plant in collaboration with Grupo Enercoop, the Spanish energy supply company, in Crevillente, Spain. This announcement marks the end of the expansion of the park from an initial output of 6.2MWp in December 2007 to a current 13.4MWp. The first of the two facilities within the recent expansion was completed in September 2008, while today’s announcement celebrates the completion of the second facility.

IBC SOLAR project manager Frank Mueller said: “The collaboration with Grupo Enercoop worked very well. With this project we have shown how reliably and efficiently solar parks can produce environmentally friendly energy. Despite the statutory cap of 500 Megawatt per year in 2009, we hope to be able to extend our successful collaboration further.”

    Photovoltaics International 16th Edition

This sixteenth edition of Photovoltaics International marks four years of production of the quarterly journal. As always, our focus is on efficiency and quality improvement and cost reduction in manufacturing. As 2012 rolls along, companies are falling by the wayside due to supply and demand issues, ASP declines and drastic governmental subsidy cuts. A clear picture of 2012 is offered through papers from the likes of TÜV Rheinland, Fraunhofer ISE, SEMI PV Group and EPIA, amongst others.
