Intersolar expands exhibition space due to increased demand

Intersolar, the solar technology trade show, will again be held in the New Munich Trade Fair Center, a little earlier this year on May 27th. One major change this year is the size of the exhibition space, which has already been pushed up from 76,000m2 to surpass 100,000m2, taking up nine halls of the Center. The volume of exhibitors in 2008 was an increase of 120% on the previous year, aided by the move to the Munich venue.

Another change this year will be the division of the show into the areas of photovoltaics, solar thermal technology and solar architecture. The area of photovoltaics production and technology will be housed in a dedicated hall, presented in collaboration with the PV Group, a SEMI initiative. This area will see exhibitors armed with the facilities to present their products and services to the thousands of attendees at the show.

According to the organisers, the entire allocated space will be fully booked within two to three months. May 25th and 26th will see the fifth annual “PV Industry Forum” taking place, where international experts from the PV industry will meet to brainstorm and discuss ideas for the industry. The fourth “European Solar Thermal Industry Conference” - estec2009, will also take place on May 25th and 26th, 2009, where the key topics of the international solar thermal industry will be discussed.
