Representing the first collaborative effort between Trina Solar and Tigo Energy, Trina advised that during Intersolar North America in San Francisco this week, it will be displaying its new Trinasmart technology. Trinasmart is said to combine the company modules with new maximize and monitoring technology, which allows use of maximum roof space and power output.

The maximizer is said to use built-in technology to find the optimal operating point of each module, helping to prevent shading issues. Trina Solar notes that this results in up to 20% higher power output for arrays impacted by shading and up to 8% higher output for “perfect” installation. The new technology also incorporates better monitoring and safety by letting system owner monitor system performance at the module level, track historical data and compile system information through a computer, smartphone or tablet.

Trina Solar will have the Trinasmart technology on display at booth #7511.
