Intertek advised that it has joined forces with the Local Content Assurance Bureau (LCAB) in order to deliver auditing and inspection services under the Contributor to Ontario Renewable Energy (CORE) Program. The CORE Program helps, among others, manufacturers and suppliers meet the domestic content requirements set by the Ontario Power Authority as part of its FiT program.

Ontario’s CORE Program is the province’s only domestic content program that is supported by stringent on-site verification and review processes. It offers verification services for all 42 categories, across all four of the current FiT Domestic Content Grids. “Expansion of our renewable energy portfolio is important as we remain ahead of the industry. More specifically, the CORE Program will verify domestic content helping us provide additional value to our solar and wind energy clients in Ontario,” said Sunny Rai, regional vice president of Renewable Energy at Intertek. “Our local expertise will support the growing demand for domestic content verification services in Ontario and we expect to see these types of programs expanding into markets around the world.”
