JA Solar seeks new board member as Dr. Robert J. Yang resigns

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd., a top manufacturer of high-performance solar cells based in Shanghai, has announced it is searching for a new board member after Dr. Robert J. Yang resigned on March 2, 2009.  It hopes to announce his replacement as soon as possible. 

Dr. Yang had been with JA Solar as Independent Director of the Board since July 9, 2008, while also contributing as a Member of the Audit, Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committees.  Prior to JA Solar, he worked as CEO and Senior Advisor to the Chairman for SESODA.  In addition, Yang has also held the position of CEO for the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Co. Ltd. and Vice President and General Director of Energy and Research Laboratories at the Industrial Technology Research Institute.
