Renewable energy developer Japan Asia Group is reportedly readying a pipeline of 500MW of PV projects in Japan as it considers reducing its European operations.
According to Bloomberg, the Japanese firm is seeking to install 110MW by the end of March next year, and around 190MW for its 2014 financial year and around 200MW for its 2015 fiscal year.

The plans come despite the company’s Green Energy business reporting a ¥343 million (US$3.4 million) loss for its financial year that ended on 31 March 2013.
Citing the company’s chairman Tetsuo Yamashita, the news site also revealed that the Tokyo-based firm is considering reducing its PV business in Europe.
Since the introduction of Japan’s feed-in tariff last July, the country has experienced a boom in PV interest, particularly in large-scale solar developments. Most recently, Nippon Paper Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation announced that they would be teaming up to develop a 21MW PV facility n Komatsushima-shi, Tokushima prefecture, Japan.
