JD Albert appointed as CEO of SRS Energy

SRS Energy has announced that JD Albert, the company’s former director of engineering, will be its new CEO. Albert has been in the director of engineering position with SRS since 2007 and initially joined the company with over 10 years of product development and commercialization expertise.

"I am excited to lead SRS Energy in the commercialization of the Sole Power Tile and subsequent products," says Albert.  "The market is ready for solar roofing products that combine performance with elegance. Driven by design innovation, SRS Energy is propelling solar energy generation from unsightly glass panels into architecturally integrated premium roofing products.  We will continue to leverage our roofing partnerships to ensure the product's distribution and installation are as seamless as its aesthetics."

Before SRS, Albert was principal engineer and cofounder of E Ink Corp., whose technology is found in the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader. In addition, Albert has published and been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and USA Today. He holds 47 US patents and is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received his undergraduate degree.
