Jürg Fedier new CFO of Oerlikon Group

Oerlikon Group has named Jürg Fedier as its new Chief Financial Officer effective 1 January 2009. Fedier joins Oerlikon from Ciba, Basel where he served as the company’s CFO since March of 2007.

“After an intensive global search we found in Jürg Fedier the best possible candidate for the position of CFO at Oerlikon. We are proud that this strong executive will complete the Executive Board of our group", says Dr. Uwe Krüger, CEO of Oerlikon.

Fedier began his professional career with Dow Chemical in Horgen, Switzerland and served as senior manger in Germany, U.S., Japan and Singapore. From 1998 through 2006, Fedier held business finance positions and returned from the U.S. to serve as VP of Finance and as a member of the Dow European Executive team.
