Stephan Hansen, COO of juwi, said: “The Turkish energy market offers great potential for renewables. We have been active in the country since 2013 and juwi is already considered as one the top foreign EPC contractors in the country. We follow a large pipeline of potential projects and will successfully realize more projects in the future.”

Turkey has shown a commitment to expanding its renewable-energy sector, with the country planning to harvest one-third of its power needs from renewable energy sources by 2023. An estimated 40GW of installed capacity is expected to be developed in the country over the next decade.

Hansen added: “Wind- and solar energy will be the backbone of the country’s future energy supply. With its vast experience in developing, financing and constructing renewable energy projects all over the world juwi is very well positioned to successfully participate in the country’s expanding renewable energy market.”
