juwi's Costa Rican subsidiary has expanded its product portfolio to include solar.

In a bid to increase its international footprint, Germany-based PV project developer juwi has announced that its subsidiary, juwi Energías Renovables – Centro América y el Caribe, based in San José, Costa Rica, will expand its product portfolio to include the development of solar projects as well as bioenergy plants.

The expansion is in line with the company’s strategy to focus on 100% renewable energy. Currently, the subsidiary focuses only on wind energy.

The move is also in line with juwi’s international expansion plans which saw the company enter the Southeast Asian solar market earlier this year by establishing a new subsidiary in Singapore. The subsidiary, called juwi Renewable Energies, was set up in order to support customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region. juwi also entered into the South African market with a new office in Cape Town.
