Lisa Bodensteiner appointed as SunPower’s new executive VP, general counsel

SunPower has hired Lisa Bodensteiner as its new executive vice president and general counsel, effective June 25. She joins SunPower from First Solar where she was general counsel, project development since 2009. Bodensteiner previously worked at OptiSolar as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.

"In addition to her legal expertise, Lisa's breadth of solar, energy and project development experience will complement SunPower's leadership team." said Tom Werner, SunPower president and CEO.  "As a global solar leader, we're constantly looking to stay ahead, whether it's through our differentiated high efficiency, high reliability technology, our go-to-market strategy or our talent. We welcome Lisa to SunPower and look forward to what we can accomplish together."

Bodensteiner is credited with being a veteran of the solar industry. In addition to her leadership roles with First Solar and OptiSolar, she worked with Calpine for over 10 years in different legal related roles, including executive vice president, general counsel, secretary and chief compliance officer.
