ElectroIQ informed that EPC company L&T Construction, a unit of Larsen and Toubro, has received cumulative orders from India’s solar industry of more than 200MW. The company foresees having 112MW of installed capacity by April, with its largest project commissioned in the past two years being a 25MW solar PV power plant at Charankha in Gujarat using tier-1 crystalline PV technology.

Over the next year, L&T expects to complete 200MW of solar projects, on an EPC basis, which will bring its cumulative solar power portfolio to nearly 400MW. The company is currently working on a 40MW plant in Pokhran in Rajasthan and recently commissioned a 10MW tracker-based crystalline PV system in the Surendranagar district in Gujarat.
