Martin Hermann named as Chief Strategic Officer for Advent Solar

Advent Solar, Inc. has enlisted the entrepreneurial skills of Martin Hermann to take up the role of Chief Strategic Officer. Mr. Hermann brings over 17 years of entrepreneurial and management experience to the role, which will see him assume responsibility for Advent Solar’s business development, planning, strategy and growth.

Hermann began his career with the establishment of CAD-UL, a Germany-based embedded software development tool start-up, where he held the role of COO. The company was acquired by Intel Corp. in 2001, after which Mr. Hermann joined Intel as part of its senior management. Intel then divested its wireless business to Marvell Semiconductor in 2006, a transition that was led by Mr. Hermann. He has a B.Sc. from the Fachhochschule in Offenburg, Germany.
