Meyer Burger advised that it has appointed Dr. Patrick Hofer-Noser to the company’s newly created position – head of renewable energy systems. Hofer-Noser will oversee the renewable energy systems for Meyer Burger as it continues to expand its efforts in the cleantech energy industry.

Hofer-Noser’s new role becomes effective as of April 1. Previously he served as CTO for Meyer Burger and has been a member of the board since 2010 and the President of Cleantech Switzerland since 2011. His role will focus on future national and international energy resource developments and the integration of the company’s products.

Hofer-Noser will step down from the executive board to take over his role as the new head of renewable energy systems. The company advised that Sylvère Leu, chief innovation officer and member of the executive board, will take over Hofer-Noser’s CTO role.
