Order Focus: Despatch Industries receives multiple firing furnace order from LDK

Adding to its 27GW of firing furnace production orders to date, Despatch Industries has been tapped for an undisclosed number of metallization firing furnaces by LDK Solar, who will use the equipment in its most recent expansion projects plans. Despatch has experienced huge demand from Chinese companies in particular of late.

“We are very pleased to work with LDK Solar on their latest manufacturing line expansions,” said Steve Oman, Despatch’s Global Sales Director. “The solar cell manufacturing growth in China continues to drive demand for our firing furnaces.”

Retiring next year so thought we’d do our bit for engrey conservation and also help ourselves to cope on what will be a reduced income, we carried out lots of research into having solar pv panels fitted to our roof. Having decided to invest a big chunk of our savings and been given an installation date for the middle of November, we were then hit with the FIT bombshell. We thought we would be just ok as our installation date is before the cut off date but no, the installers cannot now get the panels we decided upon, sold out until the new year, nor indeed any other panels until after the FIT cut off date.  We’ve had to cancel our order and ask for our deposit back.
