The 22MW Herbert PV project will be equipped with 4,000 safeTrack Vertec trackers while the 11MW Greefspan PV project will be equipped with 2,000. Each tracker will hold 23 modules. In total, they will utilise 138,000 Tenesol TE 240 PV modules.

Both projects are owned by AE–AMD Renewable Energy, a joint venture firm established by Spain’s AMDA energia, South Africa’s Alt-e Technologies and Tenesol which is owned by SunPower. Both projects are expected to complete by the second quarter of 2014.

In addition to supplying the trackers, Ideematec is also supervising the construction process of the projects while Tenesol will provide EPC services.
