Q-Cells has selected Satcon to provide 30MW of its Equinox Prism Platform solutions to two Californian PV projects, the company has announced. The sites are owned and operated by Californian utilities.

The projects are part of the first phase of the utility-owned generation program (UOG), which aims at developing 250MW of solar energy over a period of five years. Satcon will supply two of the installations with its Equinox inverters. The sites are estimated to commence operation in mid-2012.
