Order Focus: ReneSola enters South Korean market with ‘Virtus II’ modules

China-based ReneSola has provided ‘Virtus II’ modules to a non-profit organization, marking its first sales in the country.

The supply deal is for a pilot project owned by HI CITY COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY (HI CITY CIC) and commissioned by the government of Incheon. It comprises a 40kW carport and 5kW of Virtus II modules on building roofops in Incheon, and also includes ReneSola's mounting system solution.

Xianshou Li, ReneSola's chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to have delivered our first solar modules to South Korea, a relatively closed market with high expectations in terms of product quality. The selection of our modules by an organisation commissioned by the Incheon government speaks to the quality of our Virtus II modules and mounting system. Virtus II modules are an excellent choice for HI CITY CIC's pilot project, and we look forward to contributing more solar modules as Incheon becomes the headquarters for the United Nations Green Climate Fund.”

ReneSola said that it expected to provide modules for further projects for HI CITY CIS and the Incheon government.
