Solar manufacturing giant Suntech Power has appointed Pawel Nowotny as the new head of its European marketing team. Nowotny will be based out of Suntech’s European headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland and responsible for implementing the company’s long-term brand-building strategy across Europe.
Prior to joining Suntech, Nowotny had worked as corporate marketing director for the Berlin-based module producer Solon since July 2009. He has also held senior marketing roles at Daimler, where he was responsible for brands such as Mercedes Benz and Maybach.
“We are very pleased to have Pawel Nowotny, an experienced marketing expert with solid PV experience, join our growing team and to lead Suntech’s European Marketing Communication team,” Suntech Europe’s vice president for sales and marketing, Vedat Guergeli, said. “Pawel brings in extensive global marketing experience both in the B2B and consumer market.”
