Chinese solar farm developer and mounting manufacturer Powerway has agreed a joint venture with PV distributor Nizam Energy to develop projects in Pakistan and the Middle East.
The companies hope to build more than 1GW of capacity through the partnership.

Under the terms of the deal, two new joint ventures will be launched, one based in Pakistan and one in Dubai.
The Pakistan arm will handle engineering and construction while the Dubai office will handle procurement and financing.
“Pakistan is a very promising market. We look forward to working with Nizam energy,” said Benson Wu, CEO, Powerway Group.
“Powerway has also set up JV companies in Japan and in South Africa. And now with Nizam Energy’s support, we are able to offer to the market manufacturing, engineering, construction and finance. Powerway, with Nizam Energy will offer Pakistan and the Gulf the most economical solar solutions for solar farms,” Wu claimed.
