Project Focus: Samsung C&T agrees to construct 130MW in California by 2012

Samsung C&T, based in South Korea, has agreed to build and run solar power plants in California for 25 years under a deal with utility PG&E, reports Reuters.

The company said that it would build five power plants by 2012 with a combined capacity of 130MW, through agreements such as this, California expects that one-third of its electricity will be renewable by 2020. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
