Solar-Fabrik has now completed the largest solar power plant in Schleswig-Holstein. The project was set up through community involvement and inaugurated during January 2010 in Nindorf, Germany reports Solarbuzz.
The ground mounted Nindorf-Farnewinkel solar farm has a peak capacity of 3.45MW spread out over 200,000m2 of land. The project, with planning and installation managed by general contractor Aldra Solar, includes 15,000 Solar-Fabrik modules. The plant is expected to generate approximately 3.3 million Kwh of solar power each year.
The solar farm is a community initiative set up by the Nindorf town council, which commissioned Aldra Solar to implement the project. The project was planned, contracted, and installed entirely by this company. Financing was provided through 105 limited partners who supplied almost €10 million for the project.
"Solar-Fabrik has been our main supplier of modules since the beginning. We have chosen to use their high-quality products due to our previous good experience with the company," asserts Bernd Sönnichsen, managing director of Aldra Solar.
