PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) and Also Energy have teamed up in order to bring PVEL customers the ability to access their systems’ testing data online. This will allow customers to track the performance and energy yield, as well as download historical data and generate performance plots, of their system in real time with AlsoEnergy’ s PowerTrack energy management software.

Also included in the online software system, is a customer’s capability to see performance ratios, relative energy yield report comparing hour-by-hour to month-to-month timeframes. Weather reports and live video feeds are also included in the software platform.

“Our clients taking advantage of the real world outdoor testing opportunity at our PVUSA site often want to know how their system is performing right now and we are thrilled to be able to offer them easy access to their data through AlsoEnergy’s PowerTrack platform,” said Jenya Meydbray, co-founder and CEO of PVEL. “We can program specific performance metrics into the system for each customer so when they log in they will see tailored reports with the data they need updated in real time, giving them the ability to inquire quickly should they notice differences in performance.”

  • Photovoltaics International 19th Edition

For manufacturers who had their heads in the bunker during 2012, fighting falling ASPs and eroding margins, the nineteenth edition brings you details of what lies in store for this coming year. Wright Williams & Kelly return in this issue with their popular analysis of payback on technology buys; crucially they analyze n-type wafers, Al2O3 passivation and copper metallization. SERIS shows us how to achieve 18.7% efficiencies using low-cost etching techniques on diffused wafers. We also have two important technology roundups: CIGS from Helmholtz Berlin, and PV module encapsulation techniques from Fraunhofer ISE.

  • Manufacturing The Solar Future: The 2013 Production Annual

In the ever-changing global solar markets, cost reduction and measures to increase cell efficiencies are the key tools available to PV manufacturers to create new opportunities and drive your business to the next level. Manufacturing the Solar Future 2013 is the third in the Photovoltaics International PV Production Annual series, delivering the next instalment of in-depth technical manufacturing information on PV production processes designed to help you gain the competitive edge.
