Q-Cells SE CFO resigns

Granting Dr. Hartmut Schüning’s request for an early termination of his CFO role and place on the executive board, the Supervisory Board of Q-Cells SE has appointed Dr. Nedim Cen as interim CFO until a permanent replacement can be found. Dr. Schüning’s resignation was put down to it being “…a good time for both him and the company to move on to the next step”, according to CEO Anton Milner.

As head of Q-Cells SE’s finances for the past five years, Schüning oversaw milestones such as the successful IPO in 2005, various capital measures and the recent convertible bond of €250 million, which strengthened the company’s financial standing in the current climate.

“As CFO and Board Member responsible for HR, and with his great personality, Dr. Schüning has considerably shaped our company over the past years. Following one of the most successful IPOs in the sector, we are now an important company in the German technology index TecDax. As an individual and one of the most influential architects of our corporate culture, Dr. Schüning has made a lasting mark on our organization”, commented Anton Milner.

New interim CFO Dr. Nedim Cen has years of investment banking experience, having served as CFO of the KION Group, a Linde spin-off in the past and currently holding the role of Managing Director of Alvarez & Marsal in Munich, a financial consultancy and interim management company. Dr. Cen will lead the finance and HR departments at Q-Cells until a new CFO is appointed.
