Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) has advised of several changes to its management team, including the extension of Ole Enger’s position as CEO until July 2014. Bjørn Brenna, EVP and CFO, will be leaving the company to work as CFO for privately held Agra AS. Brenna was with REC for seven years.

Kjell Christian Bjørnsen will take over as EVP and CFO after serving as VP of Strategy and Business Development. Before joining REC in 2010, Bjørnsen worked in finance and strategy at Sapa, in consumer goods with Orkla and as a management consultant with McKinsey. He holds an MSc in chemical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

John Andersen, an eleven year veteran of REC, has also resigned from the company. Andersen worked as EVP and COO and will be leaving to pursue other opportunities. He will remain at REC until the end of the year. Finally, Mikkel Tørud has been named the new SVP of investor relations and business development. Tørud will be responsible for investor relations, corporate communications and corporate initiatives that relate to business development and M&A.

"I want to thank both Bjørn and John for their significant contributions to the development of REC over many years. Their dedication and professionalism has been vital in a challenging phase for the company", says CEO Ole Enger.
