Germany’s Federal Network Agency announced that during January and February the country collectively installed around 650MW of solar panels; almost double the amount installed for the same period in 2011. Bloomberg reports that installations rose nearly 450MW in January and about 200MW in February.

PV Magazine noted that PV figures for March are expected to be announced next month, with the Financial Times Deutschland suspecting that in March alone, Germany will have added nearly 1.1GW to the grid.
