As part of the agreement, S-Energy will provide its new SN-series modules — manufactured in the company’s facility in Daejeon, South Korea.

One of juwi’s projects is expected to be among the first utility-scale solar sites in the US with a maximum system voltage of 1,500V and is expected to break ground in the first quarter of 2016.

Sung-Min Hong, S-Energy’s founder and chief executive officer, said: “S-Energy has been continuously working with juwi's affiliates globally, including its parent company in Germany to build a strong foundation based on trust and reliability. We have had a very mutually successful relationship with juwi in 2015 in both US and European markets, and we will strive to keep the bond strong for many years to come.”

David Kim, president of S-Energy America, added: “We have been very fortunate to be awarded the opportunity to supply juwi with our newest line of products. S-Energy has been very focused on helping the world move toward 100% sustainable energy and our projects with juwi certainly bring us closer. We could not be more excited to have this opportunity to utilize our 1,500 V products for the first time in the U.S.”
