Satcon appoints general manager; releases accelerated lead time program

Satcon has recently appointed Peter Deege as general manager of the European, Middle East and African regions. Bringing over 12 years of experience in the European solar PV industry, Satcon is looking forward to Deege leading the company to grow around the world. Prior to his appointment at Satcon, Deege was senior consultant at Ecofys, product manager at Ecostream international and managing director at Ecostream Switzerland.

"Satcon's renewable energy solutions have consistently set the standards in performance, reliability and advanced next generation capabilities, while recent technology innovations such as Solstice and Prism continue to demonstrate our leadership in utility ready solar energy," said Deege. "With now over 170MW of the PowerGate 500kW units installed on energy grids around the world, Satcon has established itself as the most advanced supplier of large scale solar power solutions in the rapidly expanding EMEA market."

Following its announcement of a new general manager, Satcon released its accelerated lead time program (ALTP) for Europe. The program has been designed so that the company will make its PowerGate 500kW products available with eight week lead times – lending itself to meet the needs for European solar projects that are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

"European expansion is central to our global strategy and we are committed to delivering the same levels of quality and service to our European customers that has allowed us to maintain our market leadership position as the best in class large scale solar PV inverter solution provider in North America," said Steve Rhoades, president and CEO of Satcon. "Peter brings the leadership and industry knowledge that is key to expanding our team, our operations and our brand into the world's most mature solar market."
