Schott appoints Stephan Schaller to its board of management

Schott's supervisory board has appointed Stephan Schaller to its board of management effective May 1, 2010. Schaller will assume the role of vice chairman of the board of management and be responsible for several sectors including solar and architecture.

Chairman Prof. Udo Ungeheuer, Dr. Jürgen Dahmer, Dr. Hans-Joachim Konz and Klaus Rübenthaler will all continue to serve as members of the board.

As part of this move, Schaller will be resigning from the Schott supervisory board, where he has been a member of since January 1, 2008. Günther Schuh, professor of production systems at the RWTH Aachen -- where Schaller received his engineering degree -- will succeed him on this committee.
