Shuichi Fujii has been designated by Dow Corning as Global Major Market Leader for Feedstock and Active Device Products in its Solar Market Business Unit. He will also be the Solar Market Business Unit leader for Dow Corning Toray Co., Ltd., which is a joint venture between Dow Corning and Toray Industries.
“As the Solar market grows, we are committed to improve the performance, cost, availability and durability of the finished solar modules. The breadth of experience Fujii brings to this new role will help us achieve those goals,” said Hans ten Cate, Global Marketing Manager of the Dow Corning Solar Market Business Unit.
Fujii originally joined Toray Silicone Co., Ltd., a former name of Dow Corning Torey (DCT), in 1982 for the sales department. He has held various positions in sales and marketing for the automotive, electronic, photonics, compound semiconductor, plasma and solar industries. Most recently, Fujii was DCT’s Business and Technology Incubator team leader in Japan.
