Sino-American Silicon wafer sales remain flat through year-end but expansion planned

SAS reported December, 2015 sales of NT$2,335 million (US$70 million), inline with figures reported throughout the year.

Taiwan-based wafer producer, Sino-American Silicon (SAS) sales in December, 2015 remained flat through the end of the year, due to capacity constraints.

SAS reported December, 2015 sales of NT$2,335 million (US$70 million), inline with figures reported throughout the year.

Sales in 2015 reached around US$848.3 million, down around 4% from the previous year.

However, wafer capacity is expected to be expanded in 2016 to meet continued strong demand.
