Skyline Solar recently received two new green patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), adding to the company’s omnibus patent, which is was awarded in May under the USPTO’s Green Technology Pilot Program.
Skyline’s first new patent ( U.S. 7,829,906) envelops the company’s HGS system panel design (pictured), which the company claims allows for thermal management and mounting systems that keep the cells cool and provide faster installation. The second new patent (U.S. 7,825,327) encompasses the company’s solar collector, which is stated to have a multiple-trough reflector system therefore allowing high collection efficiency.
“The Green Technology Pilot Program has been critical to establishing the integrity of our intellectual property with potential customers, partners and investors, and has had a significant impact on the solar industry as a whole,” said Thomas Rohrs, CEO of Skyline Solar. “The three patents we have seen issued in last six months solidify Skyline Solar’s foundation of innovation and put us in a great position to grow our business.”
