Solaer has constructed its first PV project in the UK, the company has announced. After connecting a 5.3MW project to the grid in Spain recently, the company has installed 21,000 PH solar modules manufactured by Conergy at a 5MW project in Eastcott, Cornwall.
“This project is a great example of how cross-border solar partnerships can really work," Luis Jimenez Gutierrez, managing director of Conergy Spain, commented. "We are delighted that our long-time partners Solaer have relied on our expertise to assist them in entering the UK market and that our partnership is moving forward so successfully. Conergy has been active in the UK market for some years and has already installed some large-scale plants, including a 5 megawatt installation in Hawton that at the time was Britain's biggest solar park."
