French solar developer Solairedirect has acquired 72MW of development-stage projects in Chile as well as agreeing its first deal in the US.
The company will design and build a project for renewable investor sPower. The 26.5MW Adera project near Fresno in California will begin construction before the end of June. It has a 20-year power purchase agreement in place with Southern California Edison (SCE).

In Chile, Solairedirect will design and build 72MW across two projects in the Atacama desert. Construction is expected to start in the final quarter of 2015. Both the Denersola and Canto del Agua projects will use Abantia tracker systems.
The company did not provide details of the Chile projects’ offtakers.
In April 2015 Solairdirect delayed a planned IPO after interest fell short of expectations.
