Solar Power Partners name new CFO and COO

Phil Henson and Hugh Kuhn are named at Solar Power Partners as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and upgraded to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer respectively. These appointments enable the company to deliver improved solar development to its customers, partners and investors.

Henson comes to the company with 20 years experience in energy and natural resources finance. He has also been a major participant in SPP transactions and investment partnerships since the beginning of 2009, and was previously the co-head of the Power and Utilities Group of XL Capital Assurance.

Henson holds a BA in History from Colgate University, an MS in International Relations from Georgetown University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Kuhn will continue to oversee SPP's technology, engineering and construction, operations, and the production assurance team. He will also direct human resource and IT functions, company policies, and performance management.  Kuhn has more than 25 years of business and engineering experienceworking for Hewlett-Packard prior to this position, where he held executive positions in Sales, Business Development, Venture Industry Partnering and Global Alliances. Kuhn holds a BS in Environmental Earth Sciences from Stanford University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
